Employment at Oakview

Our primary mission is to provide quality care to our residents. Each staff member and department are vitally important in enabling the facility to meet its mission requirements. Only through cooperation, understanding and continuing effort can the Facility maintain the necessary standards needed to accomplish our primary mission – Quality Resident Care.

Those interested in employment at Oakview Medical Care Facility may download an application or pick one up from our business office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Fill it out, save it and e-mail it to KRodell@oakviewmcf.com or print it and bring it in to our office. They may be faxed, scanned and emailed or dropped off in person. All forms plus the application must be submitted to be considered for employment.

Applications are returned to the facility and interviews with the appropriate departmental supervisor are scheduled. Facility policy requires a criminal background check. Information on all applications is to be correct and to the best of the applicant’s knowledge. Once considered for a position, you must pass a routine physical examination, verifying you are physically capable of completing the employment tasks for which you will be hired. Applicants who are applying for positions in nursing must have a current Michigan license (LPNs and RNs) or a current Michigan Nursing Assistant certification.  We appreciate our nursing staff and realize that on only given day, and in every situation, their dedication to our residents and their families is a shining example of kindness and compassion that comes from the heart.

Current Openings

Housekeeper / Laundry Relief – full-time position.

RN and LPN Positions – We are accepting applications for full-time, part-time and pool Registered Nurses for 2nd and 3rd shifts, starting rate of $27.39 per hour. LPN full-time and part-time 2nd and 3rd shits starting rate of $21.50 per hour with a shift differential added to those rates.

Physical Therapist, (PRN) – Licensed Physical Therapist.

Food Service Workers Part-time and Pool Positions –  Ability to work well with others in a close environment, enjoy working with the elderly and perform a variety of tasks in accordance with current federal and state regulations. Flexibility a must.

Resident Assistant (RA) – The RA will help create a pleasant environment for Oakview residents. He/she will be expected to provide resident related assistance while working with the care team to assist with non-nursing duties. Full-time, part-time and pool positions on 1st and 2nd shifts are available with every other weekend off. Starting wage is $12.87 per hour.

CNA – Full-Time and Part-Time, (3-11 p.m.) and (11 p.m. – 7a.m.); must hold a current Michigan CNA Certificate.  The starting base wage for CNA positions is $14.87 with $0.25 differential.

Pool CNA – (All Shifts) Must hold a current Michigan CNA Certificate.
